"The acquisition of Desco (provides) additional manufacturing capacity and a wider machine range to the existing Apex program," said Bob Coningsby, Apex Machine's CEO.

Apex Machine Company, Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has aquired the assets of an Ohio-based printing machine manufacturer. Desco Equipment Corporation (DESCO) manufactures cost efficient dry-offset printing machinery primarily aimed at the container and closure industries worldwide. Details of the transaction were not made public.

"The acquisition of Desco (provides) additional manufacturing capacity and a wider machine range to the existing Apex program," said Bob Coningsby, Apex Machine's CEO. "Desco products will benefit from the innovative engineering expertise that Apex can provide, along with access to more advanced, alternative printing processes, which may offer new capabilities for current and future Desco machine users."

Desco's Leo Henry and Gene Gilbert have agreed to remain involved in operations in order to ensure a smooth transition for customers, vendors and employees.
