NPE2015 Brings Technology and Education to Orlando

Professionals from every spectrum of the plastics industry and its vertical markets will assemble in Orlando, FL, on March 23-27 to discover the tools and access the emerging technologies that are shaping the future of plastics. More than 60,000 attendees from 100 countries are expected to converge on the Orange County Convention Center during the week, representing industries as diverse as automotive, consumer products, housing and construction, medical and appliances, among others.

Produced by SPI (Society of Plastics Industry), this triennial international event features a onemillion-square-foot exhibit hall filled with full-scale, operating machinery and equipment; 2,000 exhibiting companies; a multipronged conference program; cutting-edge technology pavilions; networking and special events; and much more.

Additional Educational Opportunities at NPE

In addition to the Business of Plastics Conference, during which Plastics Decorating will host a session, three other educational events will co-located with NPE.

First, SPE ANTEC Orlando 2015, produced by SPE, will present hundreds of technical papers with original content reviewed by industry peers. ANTEC takes place March 23-25. Next, the Latin America Seminar will be conducted in Spanish over three half-day sessions taking place on March 24-25 with a theme of Trends, Opportunities and Technologies in the Business of Plastics. Finally, the design side will be addressed on March 26 and 27 as the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) hosts the Southern District Design Conference.

Attendees will include design professionals, students, educators and business professionals eager to explore how design is changing to meet expanding demand and how that demand translates in the creation of end user products in the plastics industry.

Plastics Decorating Sponsors Session during NPE-Co-Located Business of Plastics Conference

NPE2015 attendees now can register for the Business of Plastics Conference, a three-day program taking place during NPE, which provides business and technical presentations on issues currently of concern to plastics professionals.

The conference, taking place March 23-25 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, will consist of 37 presentations, with sessions ranging from cyber security and 3D printing to legal affairs and advanced technologies. It includes a panel discussion on Evaluating New Technologies vs Current Decorating Techniques, which will be moderated by Jeff Peterson, editor-in-chief of Plastics Decorating.

Panel members include Chris DeMell, ITW Security & Brand Identity; John Kaverman, Pad Print Pros; and David Schoofs, Central Decal Company. The session will take place on Mon., March 23 from 4:30-5:15 pm.
